Selection Criteria: The purpose of these awards is to instill within all members a desire to do something, the result of which will benefit either the Association, its membership, the building industry, the community, or mankind, whether it occurs over a one-year period or a number of years. The recipients of these awards will be recognized and publicized as our Association's outstanding Builder and outstanding Associate of the Year. These awards shall become the highest recognition our Association can bestow on any of its members.
The award is given on the basis of examining selective candidates and their contributions to their industry, community, and their representation of our Association. Some items to consider include the following:
•Professionalism - Are his/her practices highly regarded by the other members of the Association and the general public? •Does he/ she follow good ethics in business? •Is he/she faithful to state laws and regulations and the MBA By-Laws? •Civic activity - Is he/ she very active in state, local, and national community events and charities? •Is he/ she actively involved in other service groups, fraternal organizations, or religious groups? •Association participation - Has he/ she served on committees, councils, or the Board of Directors? Has he/ she been involved in various events, charities, educational activities of the Association?
