(Waukesha, WI) January 20, 2009 – On Thursday, January 22nd, at 6:00 p.m., the Metropolitan Builders Association will host a consumer seminar titled, “The Building Process: Value-Based Decisions on a Limited Budget.” This seminar has been designed to provide an overview of the building process as well as some practical advice to help consumers understand the difference between custom and model home builders. Take a guided tour through the home building process and gain insight on how to make value-based decisions when eliminating features within the home without sacrificing quality. Educating consumers on their options will help them feel confident in their selections and avoid regretting their decisions after their home is finished.

“The Building Process: Value-Based Decisions on a Limited Budget” is the first seminar of the MBA’s 2009 free consumer education series. The seminars are designed to guide homeowners through the home building process step-by-step. This particular seminar will emphasize tips on how to get the biggest bang for your buck and will also touch on some of the different qualities of popular building materials used today. Professional speakers will show consumers which options offer the ability to create fewer waste materials, construct homes that last longer, and include all your necessities while staying within your budget.

The free seminar will begin at 6:00 p.m. and last approximately one and one-half hours with opportunities to ask many questions. If you are thinking about building a home or improving your current home, educating yourself on the process first can alleviate problems down the line. To learn more about options within yourbudget, be sure to attend "The Building Process: Value-Based Decisions on a Limited Budget," which takes place at two convenient locations, the Housing Authority of The City of Milwaukee (650 W Reservoir, Milwaukee) and the MBA office (N16 W23321 Stone Ridge Drive, Waukesha).
