63rd Annual Parade of Homes
(Waukesha, WI) August 4, 2008 – The 2008 Parade of Homes is celebrating its 63rd year with eight fully decorated and landscaped homes showcased in Belle Chasse Subdivision in Muskego. August 16th through September 7th, this annual new home event is hosted by the Metropolitan Builders Association and is the longest running Parade of Homes in the nation.
“This year’s Parade of Homes marks our 63rd year of building excellence in Southeastern Wisconsin,” said Metropolitan Builders Association Executive Director Chellee Siewert. “We are especially looking forward to 2008 being the first year ever to present an entire Parade tour of homes that are each Green Built Home™ and ENERGY STAR® certified. As green building technologies become more common, we are eager to see the how our members incorporate these building options in their new home models.”
In addition to Green Built Home™ and ENERGY STAR® certified homes, the 2008 Parade of Homes offers special weekly promotions, events, and contests.
Weekly Promotions:
Mondays (except for Labor Day) – 2 for 1 Day
Receive two admissions for the price of one. (Gate tickets only)
Tuesdays – Realtor Day
Realtors get in free with proof of business card and valid drivers license.
Thursdays – Pink Night
One dollar of each ten dollar ticket sold at the gate will be donated to the Milwaukee Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Weekends & Labor Day – Leffs Lucky Town
Leffs Lucky Town will be providing concessions on Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day. Come out and enjoy a drink and some great food while touring the Parade models.

Best Room Contest
In addition to the eight beautiful homes featured at this year’s Parade, builders chose a room to enter into the 5th Annual Parade of Homes Best Room Contest. All builders will be showcasing what they consider to be the most innovative and desirable room in their home. Visitors to the Parade will determine the winners of this contest with ballots supplied at the entrance to the site. Voters will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Packer tickets donated by the Metropolitan Builders Association. Voting will take place during the first week of the Parade (August 16 – August 24). “This is where builders take ordinary home options to extraordinary levels,” said Siewert. “It is a chance for the public to see the creativity and imagination of our MBA builders.”
People’s Choice Award
Parade attendees are also encouraged to cast their ballot for the Annual People’s Choice Award. This contest allows the general public to choose their favorite model. Voters will be entered to win a trip to Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch in Yucca, Arizona donated by Dan and Carrie Rynders, Wisconsin natives and owners of Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch.

General Information
The Parade of Homes runs August 16th through September 7th. Admission at the Parade sites is $10. Discount tickets can be purchased for $9.00 at www.MBAonline.org or at participating ticket vendors for $8.00. Admission for children 12 and under is $5. Parade hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends and Labor Day. A return visit ticket can also be purchased for $5 to re-visit the site at anytime during the Parade.

This open space development is very conveniently located just 7 minutes south of the I-43 expressway offering easy access to shopping, restaurants, and outdoor recreation. Take Moorland Road south to the intersection of Janesville Road, continuing south on Durham Drive (Moorland Rd.) past Woods Rd to the entrance of Belle Chasse on Durham Drive.
**Please Note: THE OFF RAMP TO MOORLAND ROAD WILL BE CLOSED JUNE 4TH (6/4) THROUGH AUGUST 20TH (8/20). Visit the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for more work zone and detour information.
- DETOUR: Exit IH 894 at Beloit Road. Head west on Beloit Road to Moorland Road. Detour has restriciton of 11' lane and 1' shoulder on Beloit Road under I-43.
