(Waukesha, WI) October 2008 – The Metropolitan Builders Association is hosting its 24rd Annual Fall Remodelers Tour, Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12st. This scattered-site tour features thirteen remodeling projects that range in scope from whole house remodels to bathrooms, kitchens, lower levels, 3rd story additions and more. These projects allow attendees to get up close and personal with the quality offered by a variety of MBA remodelers. It’s the perfect place to see different design solutions that have worked in a variety of homes.

Locally, remodelers are seeing projects that encompass more than one room on the rise. “While it is still possible to do a kitchen remodel, it is getting more common to see remodeling that has a direct impact on the rooms around it,” said Ed Miller, E. Miller & Associates, Chairman of the Remodelers Council, “Some kitchen remodels provide the inspiration for additional changes in the adjoining family or dining room, but homeowners are also adding mud rooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, or gathering rooms to the scope of their kitchen remodels. In fact, one type of smaller project that is most often linked to a kitchen remodel is the recreation of a back entry that replicates the back halls commonplace in today’s newer homes.”

The Fall Remodelers Tour will be open Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12st from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door, or $8 through discount ticket sellers. (Patrons can also receive $2 off the door price when they bring two non-perishable food items for the Hunger Task Force). For more information, log onto the MBA website at
