“The public is asking for businesses that are committed to offering the information necessary to determine what products
and technologies are best for different
consumers.”
Matt Moroney, Executive Director
New Builder Requirements
New builder members must agree to complete the mandatory education requirement of a full-morning orientation program and one educational program of the Uniform Dwelling Code within one year of acceptance.
CCP Program
The MBA’s Certified Construction Professional Program is designed to allow MBA members who are committed to personal and professional growth an avenue in which they can be recognized for their efforts.
Different tracts are offered for builders, developers, and associate members. There are five basic core curriculums from which every member has to take a minimum number of classes. These curriculum offer classes in five primary areas: building science, land development, sales and marketing, better business, and safety. To receive certification, a member must attend 12 classes over a 2 year period. Members are also able to earn credit for one year of service on the Construction Arbitration Board and an additional credit if they serve as an inspector or mediator for a one year period.
The CCP program not only gives members additional value for their membership investment, but also helps support the MBA in its efforts to educate the public on the importance of using an MBA member for all of their building needs.
