The Building
Process
On Thursday, May 17th at 7:00 p.m., the Metropolitan Builders Association will host a consumer seminar titled, “The Building Process.” “This seminar provides an overview of the building process as well as some practical advice to help consumers understand the difference between custom and model home builders,” said MBA Executive Director Matt Moroney. “It is the perfect place for people who are considering building a home to get a true understanding about what goes into the experience.”
This seminar will take consumers from the building permit process through to warranty issues once the home is built. Potential home buyers will leave the seminar with a greater understanding of the many elements involved in building a home. Pete Lange from Brookstone Homes and Brad Dagen from Rose & DeJong Law Firm will provide consumers with practical advice so they enter the building process as educated buyers. The format of the presentation will allow plenty of time for attendees to ask questions.
“Many consumers don’t realize how important it is to do their homework throughout the building process,” said Moroney. “The construction process can vary in length depending on the type of home built, the level of customization involved, and the weather. It is imperative that those entering into this process have a basic understanding of what will be taking place during the construction of their home.”
“The Building Process” runs Thursday, May 17th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Builders Association’s office – N16 W23321 Stone Ridge Drive in Waukesha. Pre-registration is recommended but not required for this free seminar. To register, please visit www.mbaonline.org or call 262-436-1122.
