Working with MBA Members has its Rewards
Now is a great time to build, remodel, or improve your home. Interest rates are near all time lows, home values are continuing to rise, material costs are lower, and there is a strong demand for housing. For many consumers, the question is where to start. The Metropolitan Builders Association is the perfect place to find builders, remodelers, and other members who are dedicated to the home building industry. Dedication to professionalism, strong business ethics, and industry standards set MBA members apart. In addition, the MBA offers consumers:
Free Classes – The MBA offers free consumer classes every year at the Home Builders Expo. Beyond the show, courses that take you through the process of building a new home are offered monthly at the MBA office. Classes this year have included: The Remodeling Process, Choosing the Builder & the Lot, Designing Your New Home: Plans & Specifications, Aging in Place: Growing with Your Home, and The Building Process. There are three remaining classes in the 2007 season: Landscaping & Interior Design Techniques in September, What to Look for When Buying a Condominium in October, and Remodeling Contracts, Plans, Specs and Warranties in November.
Publications – In addition to offering publications at our Home Builders Expo, Spring Tour of Homes & Condominiums, Parade of Homes, and Fall Remodelers Tour, the MBA offers a free consumer publication that comes right to your home. You can sign up for Abode at MBA events or on our website and get set to enjoy a bimonthly publication that features articles on a variety of subjects related to the home building industry. Framed by ads from MBA members, Abode not only gives you an opportunity to learn more about trends in the industry, it introduces you to members who can help you incorporate these trends into your home.
Peace of Mind – Every MBA member, must adhere to the Construction Industry Standards and the Association’s code of ethics. To join the MBA, each builder and remodeler must have satisfactory customer and subcontractor references. Each member also goes through a financial background check.
New builder members are required to meet educational criteria to maintain their membership. The MBA provides a variety of educational opportunities to its members to keep them at the forefront of the industry. MBA membership also provides a great safety net for consumers because if a problem emerges you can consult the MBA and use its dispute resolution solutions.
MBA members all agree to binding arbitration, which gives home buyers recourse if a dispute arises during the construction process.
When you are looking for someone to build, remodel, or improve your home, be sure to look for the MBA logo. Our members are not only committed to the industry, they are committed to you.
