MBA Presented its First Ever Safety Award at their
Installation Dinner on November 8th
(Waukesha, WI) – November, 2007 – Every year the Metropolitan Builders Association presents several awards recognizing member achievements at their Installation Dinner. This year, the MBA presented Fireside Hearth & Home in Waukesha with the MBA’s first ever Safety Award.
Safety has been a priority at Fireside Hearth & Home long before the MBA introduced this award. Fireside Hearth & Home believes that they must demonstrate their commitment to safety on a day-to-day basis and imbed workplace safety in their daily activities. They recognize that training is an essential prerequisite for an effective Safety Program. Safety training not only provides hazard awareness and proper job “know how,” it also raises members’ safety consciousness and motivation.
The MBA commends Fireside Hearth & Home for their commitment to safety and looks forward to celebrating the efforts of additional safety conscious members in the years to come. “Fireside Hearth & Home has demonstrated a true commitment to safety, which reflects well on their company and the industry as a whole,” said Matt Moroney, Executive Director of the MBA. “Their Waukesha location has not had any OSHA violations in the past five years – that’s a record that we hope others in the industry will emulate.”
The MBA is a non-profit and non-partisan association which represents the building industry in the metropolitan Milwaukee area. The MBA develops and offers education for consumers as well as members. By establishing business ethics and industry standards, the MBA has earned a reputation as a trusted resource. Consumers enjoy our promotions for housing and housing products, while members take part in our professional and social activities throughout the year. The MBA has a long standing tradition of giving back to the community through a variety of philanthropic ventures.
