Metropolitan Builders Association Membership Drive a Success – Now Ranked 14th in the Nation

(Waukesha, WI) – October, 2007 – Over 295 new members were brought into the Metropolitan Builders Association over a two-day period in early October. The MBA’s new total membership stands at 1585 members; moving the MBA up from 23rd in the nation to a solid 14 on the Top 100 list from the National Association of Home Builders.

Existing MBA members were crucial players in the recruitment efforts. Sixty-four member companies participated in the MBA Superbowl Membership Drive on October 3rd and 4th. Victory Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. brought in 57 new members – breaking the national record of 50 members recruited by an individual company. Their team, The Chiefs, broke the original team record of 88 by bringing in 94 new members.

As the building industry continues to grow, companies are realizing the value that trade associations offer. Membership to a trade association ensures that issues important to building related companies are adequately addressed. Furthermore, membership provides access to others in the industry – companies that could become future clients and resources. The MBA proved through their membership drive that once companies are aware of the benefits offered by a trade association, they will join in masses.
