Choosing the Builder & the Lot
Join the MBA for a Consumer Seminar Thursday, February 15th
(Waukesha, WI) February 1, 2007 – On February 15th, the Metropolitan Builders Association will host a seminar, “Choosing the Builder & the Lot.” This free seminar is part of a series of seminars designed to educate the public on the process of building a new home.
The seminar runs from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Builders Association’s office, N16 W23321 Stone Ridge Drive in Waukesha. Steve Clavette, Trustway Homes, Inc., will give practical advice on beginning the process of building a new home. Clavette will also provide a list of questions for consumers to ask their builder so they are more prepared when entering the building process.
“Whatever the reason you are drawn to a particular area, you should take the time to truly evaluate the amenities you would like in the subdivision or area you plan on building,” said MBA Executive Director Matt Moroney. “Explore the building opportunities each homesite offers – particularly whether or not there is an option for an exposed basement, and whether or not there is suitable soil and subsoil. Also consider the improvements the subdivision offers, as well as any restrictions it may have.”
Pre-registration is recommended but not required for this free seminar. To register, please visit www.mbaonline.org or call 262-436-1122.
