MBA Remodelers Council Announces New Philanthropic Project
(Waukesha, WI) – February, 2007 – The MBA’s Remodelers Council has finalized plans for its 2007 philanthropic project – building a pavilion for the Blue Lotus Farm & Retreat Center in Newburg, WI. Construction of the pavilion will take place during the second week in June. The Blue Lotus Farm is dedicated to providing a safe environment and healing space for those with any special needs. Located in the countryside of Wisconsin, the natural setting offers tranquility and privacy. Currently, they do not have a place to go if there is inclement weather. The new pavilion will provide the non-profit organization with a safe, warm environment in which they can escape the elements. In addition to offering a large gathering area, the pavilion will provide handicap accessible bathrooms, an office, kitchen, and screened in area.
The Remodelers Council is counting on donations from MBA members to make this philanthropic project a reality.
The Blue Lotus Farm is run entirely by volunteers, and is the brainchild of Fred and Susan Bliffert of Bliffert Lumber & Fuel Co. For more information, please call Chellee Siewert at csiewert@mbonline.org or call her at 262.436.1122
