Four MBA Members Earn Designation of Certified Construction Professional
(Waukesha, WI) December 10, 2007 – The Metropolitan Builders Association of Greater Milwaukee is pleased to announce four additional recipients of the Certified Construction Professionals designation. The following members have earned their CCP designations: Troy Heil, James Craig Builders, Inc. in Wauwatosa; Dan Lowery and Craig North, William Ryan Homes, Inc. in Brookfield; and Dave Molenda, Weather-Tek Design Center in Brookfield. The MBA congratulates them on their commitment to continuing education.
Designed to allow individuals who are serious about staying ahead of the competition an opportunity to be recognized for their commitment to education, the CCP program is customized to a member’s business affiliation. Different tracts are offered for construction, development, and associate members. To earn the designation, members must complete 24 hours of training, which is double the hours required under Wisconsin continuing education requirements. Heil, Lowery, and North completed builder trade certification requirements while Molenda completed associate trade certification requirements.
Unlike some other national certification programs, the CCP program is intended to be both affordable and convenient for those participating in the program. Over 400 MBA members have started their journey towards certification. The MBA offers a variety of educational opportunities including over 45 different educational events and seminars, most are eligible to receive credit from the Department of Commerce and count toward the continuing education requirement.
“Continuing education throughout one’s career is not only important to one’s self, but it is also important to the end customer,” states MBA Executive Director Matt Moroney. “The public is asking for businesses that display a commitment to professionalism and education.” The MBA’s certification program is designed to allow MBA members who are committed to personal and professional growth an avenue in which they can be recognized for their efforts. The Association and its leaders feel very strongly that this program will not only give our members additional value for their membership investment, but also help support the MBA in its efforts to educate the public on the importance of using an MBA member for all of their building needs.”
