Muskego and Pewaukee Have Much to Offer

As the 62nd Parade of Homes comes to a close, the Metropolitan Builders Association proudly recognizes the City of Muskego and the City of Pewaukee for making this year’s event another success.  In addition to offering great school systems, both communities offer fulfilling environments in which residents of all ages can find entertainment as well as opportunities.

The City of Muskego hosted ten Parade homes at Woodland Creek Estates subdivision. Secluded by acres of wetland and nature preserves, Woodland Creek Estates fulfills Muskego’s vision of maintaining its natural resources. Boasting three large lakes and miles of rolling countryside, Muskego is located close to the major metropolitan centers of Milwaukee and Chicago. The city is a great place to live for those who want to escape the bustle of the city, while still keeping the commute distance at a minimum. According to recent statistics, Muskego is expected to be one of the strongest and fastest growing communities in the region. With responsible economic development and appreciation for natural habitat, the City of Muskego offers a high quality of life to its residents.

The City of Pewaukee hosted thirteen Parade homes at Broken Hill subdivision. Like Muskego, Pewaukee places a high emphasis on protecting natural resources of the land. The rain garden at Broken Hill reflects this emphasis and serves as a resourceful attraction to plants, birds, and other wildlife creatures, while helping to control storm water run-off. The City of Pewaukee lies adjacent to the traditional Village of Pewaukee which features a downtown area with several shops and restaurants. The village also fronts Pewaukee Lake, offering a beautiful beach, as well as a large portion of available lake properties. Besides responsible land management, the City of Pewaukee can also be proud of its thriving economy. Out of the total 190 cities in Wisconsin, Pewaukee ranks 23rd in terms of full value and 51st in population. The city’s low crime rate and close proximity to Milwaukee and Madison make Pewaukee a desirable community in which to raise a family.

The City of Muskego and the City of Pewaukee are both well-established and diverse communities. These qualities have enabled the 2007 Parade of Homes to be an enjoyable event for all visitors who attended, including the Parade builders and staff workers. Special thanks to the Muskego Police and Fire Departments, Pewaukee Police and Fire Departments, and the residents of Muskego and Pewaukee for their friendliness and patience in welcoming those who attended this year’s Parade of Homes.

Those who did not have the chance to visit the Parade sites this year are encouraged to purchase a Parade of Homes DVD which offers a glimpse of the interiors of all twenty-three homes. A Parade Designer Sale on September 15 from 8:00 a.m. until noon at the Broken Hill site in Pewaukee will enable attendees to purchase furniture and decorations from some of their favorite Parade homes. No fee is required to attend the sale. For further information, including directions to the site, please contact the MBA at 262.436.1122 or visit www.MBAonline.org.
