The MBA – Your Ultimate Resource

You’ve seen our name associated with our annual events: Home Builders Expo, Spring Tour of Homes, The Parade of Homes & Fall Remodelors Tour. But our commitment to you doesn’t stop there. As part of our goal of being the best resource available for someone in the market to build, remodel, or improve a home, the Metropolitan Builders Association hosts a series of consumer education seminars. “We have always provided our members with outstanding educational opportunities and making those opportunities available to the home buying public seemed like the logical next step,” said Matt Moroney, Executive Director. “We understand how daunting it can seem to build or remodel a home. We want to help simplify the process and provide the consumer with the resources to make good decisions.”

The MBA’s free consumer education series is designed to guide potential homebuilders through the home building process step-by-step. If you are thinking about building a home, educating yourself on the process first can alleviate problems down the line. Check out the classes that are offered.

The New Construction and Lot Inventory Map is designed to provide up to date information on model homes, spec. homes, lots, and MBA members located throughout the MBA’s five county jurisdiction. You’ll also find school district information, nearby parks, and be able to determine your drive time to work for each location.

Once you have begun the process of building, remodeling, or improving a home with an MBA member, the MBA provides you with a safety net. Adhering to strict ethical standards, the MBA has committed its resources and technical knowledge to resolving construction related disputes. The MBA has been in the forefront of industry self-regulation, desiring to benefit the customer, contractor, and the building industry. All members are required to submit disputes to arbitration and/or mediation when requested by an owner. Remember, when you build with an MBA member, this protection is a part of their membership in the Association. If you are doing business with a non-member, your only recourse if problems arise is the court system.

It’s worth your time to explore all of the resources the MBA has to offer.
