The Alhambra

As Mark Carstensen Construction begins its 27th year in business, meeting customer needs is still our top priority. This year we proudly present The Alhambra, our latest custom designed home. The Alhambra is designed to meet the needs of a family or an empty nest couple. The exterior’s timeless elegance is achieved through the combined use of gables and hip roof lines as well as stone and EIFS.

The main floor provides a generous living center, gourmet kitchen, formal dining room and a morning room that allow for entertaining on a small or large scale. The master suite is designed as a retreat quietly placed to the rear of the home and set apart from the living area by its own private circular vestibule. Bedroom #2 and the adjoining bath are located with privacy for guests in mind. The large study can also serve as a home office or an additional bedroom.

While entertaining in the living center and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace, guests will enjoy views of the lake and the beautifully landscaped backyard. Abundant windows   allow warm sunlight into the living center, dining room, and kitchen areas.

The finished space in the lower level offers two additional bedrooms, a large bath, media room, game room and full bar. All finishes in the lower level match those of the main floor. Once again, beautifully designed windows provide ample sunlight into the lower level as well as great views of the outdoors.
