About the Event

In 2007, the Metropolitan Builders Association's Building Science & Design Conference (www.mbaonline.org) will be the premier trade show and conference for the housing and remodeling industry in Wisconsin. This action-packed all-day event will feature top-notch speakers, educational programming that every industry professional needs to stay at the top of their game, a trade show that will feature the latest in industry products and services, and networking opportunities galore.

Trade Show

This event will offer exhibitors opportunities to meet with prospective building and remodeling professionals from around the state - specifically the southeastern part of the state. This event has grown every year since its inception. In 2006, the conference experienced approximately 325 attendees.

Industry Training

In addition, the event showcases industry training in a multiple room format from notable national and state speakers geared to general contractors and trade contractors.

Lyn Falk, an author, award winning designer, business owner, and educational speaker has earned national praise for her holistic, innovative, results driven design philosophy. Ms. Falk has devoted the past 20 years to teaching and helping retailers and business professionals build healthy, purposeful and productive spaces that move hearts, minds & merchandise. Her client list includes heavyweights such as Sears, Miller Brewing Company, the Kohler Company, SC Johnson, Breadsmith, Covenant Healthcare, and Mercury Marine, although hundreds of independent retailers have benefited from her expertise as well. Seven years after starting Retailworks, Inc in 1995, Ms. Falk created Solterra Studios - a sustainable design division. This arm of the business is dedicated to creating and promoting beautiful, healthy, eco-friendly environments. Ms Falk is a registered designer with the State of Wisconsin, a member of IIDA, and serves on the Boards of Wisconsin Green Building Alliance Board, and Urban Open Space Foundation. She has taught at the University of Wisconsin, and continues to lecture nationally on the benefits of creating, living & working in healthy and purposeful spaces and communities.
