President’s Message

Looking at what the MBA accomplishes as an organization each year, it is really quite remarkable. Four main events dedicated to promoting the housing industry; educational and networking opportunities offered throughout the year; working on local, state and national governmental issues, and the list goes on. There is one common denominator for everything that the MBA accomplishes in a given year – members. The MBA would not be the association it is today without the dedication and commitment of its members.
To remain strong, we must continue to bring members to the MBA who share a passion for the home building industry. Recruitment and prospecting isn’t a responsibility of membership, it’s something that just comes naturally. Think about the people you do business with. Why do you use them? Perhaps it is because they have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Maybe it is because when they tell you they are going to do something, they get it done. It could even be that the product they carry is one you can’t live without.
At the end of April, the MBA held a membership drive to bring in new members. These drives continue to be a success with the commitment and dedication that our membership shows. Thank you to all those who volunteered their time to help make these a success. Being an MBA member is not only good for the industry, it is a valuable selling tool for your company. As you continue to bring in those companies you work with throughout the year, the MBA will continue to grow in size and strength.
The MBA has much to offer. With the right people, we can continue to offer more.
